The Painted Hand Community Development Corporation was incorporated on March 11, 1998.
Host Tribal Councils established a Community Development Corporation for each SIGA Casino located on a First Nation.
The Yorkton Tribal Council is the host Tribal Council for the Painted Hand Community Development Corporation, located in the community of Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
The Board of Directors (nine) are comprised of representatives of the Yorkton Tribal Council, one director from an independent First Nation, one director from the city of Melville, and one director from the city of Yorkton.
The staff of the Painted Hand Community Development Corporation consists of one General Manager and one Administrative Assistant
The Community Development Corporation receives 25% of the net profits of the Painted Hand Casino. These monies are then distributed (by application process) to the communities of the Yorkton Tribal Council, the city of Melville, the city of Yorkton, and secondary areas (within 100 km of the city of Yorkton).
There are four quarterly allocations per year. The calls for applications are on April 15, July 15, October 15, and January 15 annually. The applications are then reviewed by the Board of Directors. All applicants are notified in writing of the decision made within two weeks of the deadline date.
